Cupid's Arrow.

Hello lovely ladies and dashing gents! It's "that" day of the year again. Yes, you've guessed it right it's *Valentine's Day*  And for those without any significant other's, it's most likely *Single Awareness Day*

~HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY~

As for me, it's going to be a normal day lol. I just completed writing a very long poem, heavily influenced by V'day. Hmmm...I have no Valentine. but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy? I'm thankful for my family and friends- their unconditional love in me and for supporting me (:

Cupid's Arrow.

Well hello, it’s the 13^th of February again,

But I still couldn't understand the reason for my lonely existence.

I’m still invisible, no matter whatever I do,

My day begins and ends with wishfully thinking like a fool.

Love’s my antidote, love’s my poison,

An addiction, did I mention?

My friends are making plans for tomorrow,

I don’t want their pity, I rather stay at home all alone.

Because from the back row, watching them kiss and caress,

My heart is not ready for Mr Jealously to make a permanent residence.

I can see it in his eyes, he loves you,

Girl, are you blind? Why do you burden him with never ending issues?

If I had a man, who loves me for everything I am,

I wish I had a man, within the reach of my hands.

Maybe I’ll find him, loitering in the corner,

But if he’s too lazy to stand in front of me, then I won’t bother.

Because arrogance and ego, can never build a solid home,

And hailstones usually hang over me wherever I go.

They call it bad luck, and I hope it’s just temporary,

When I find my valentine, paradise will find me eventually.

I’m not a fan of hurting myself, but I don’t mind arrows,

Only the ones made by cupid, a cute little fellow.

He’s the love guru, the master in pairing up soul mates,

Don’t be fooled by his height, his eyes never misses an aim.

This valentine of mine, I know you’re out there,

You’re so breathtaking, please excuse me if I stare.

Because you’re eyes oh, they seem to have been watching me for a while,

So what took you so long, oh wait never mind-

Because there’s a ringing inside my head,

That’s getting louder, so I open my eyes and found myself in bed.

Oh darn, It was all just a dream,

But I realized, finally it’s the Feb of 14^th.

Surprisingly, I feel the urge of cheating my diet and eat something calorific today,

No more wasting time, I’ll indulge in muffins at this little cafe.

I bought a new book heavily influenced by love,

And I’m reading it in this cafe, with coffee in my mug.

Someone just said “Excuse me, mind if I join you?”

I looked up and felt cupid’s arrow going right through!

Could this be it? Does my waiting ends here?

When you introduced yourself, everything became crystal clear!

What tomorrow holds, I’ll never know,

But I’m optimistic, thanks to this cupid’s arrow.

Finally I’ve been struck, and now I’m somebody’s Valentine,

Oh he’s gorgeous and he wants to be mine.

He says, “Forever” and his accent in divine,

I can feel it in my heart that the duration’s for a lifetime!
